I worked at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (More than a year)

    Pros

Very organized with very clear objectives. Always knew exactly what needed to be done and supervisors were very understanding.

    Cons

Incredibly stressful. While objectives were clear they were very difficult to meet. Lots of chances for improvement and skill development.

    Advice to Management

More transparency. Sometimes I didn't really know exactly why we were doing things but I was told to follow along and watch results happen. Somewhat frustrating at times.

I have been working at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Really flexible schedule, am able to take time off or leave early if needed.

    Cons

Dress code is business casual :( I miss shorts, flip flops, and hats.

    Advice to Management

Haven't really seen a lot of room to grow from my current position. Management doesn't seem to interested in my growth as I'm only a contract worker.

I have been working at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Though not an official policy, we are frequently allowed to work from home. The benefits are great with 401K matching, Pension Plan for those grandfathered in and a retirement savings fund for those who are not. Excellent Dental and Medical coverage. You work with people who don't swear, drink, smoke and have the same values. It makes the work environment so pleasant.

    Cons

You still have the same issues where you work with imperfect people who are not always the brightest. Many of the brightest are recruited by other companies with more immediate benefits and it can sometimes be difficult to weed out the stagnant employees.

    Advice to Management

Management is a little bit of a joke among coworkers. We are understanding mostly because we are self motivating, so we get by even with a very thin and unorganized management structure. ATI is also joke. It is one of those tasks performed because it has to be done and nobody really gives it much thought. Our day to day work is what is important to us and making sure we meet our customer's needs. That's what we should be rated on.

I have been working at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best part about working here is the people. I have made some of my best friendships with my co-workers here. The management is also incredibly respectful, communicates openly and frequently. I always know what's going on. Plus, the pay is pretty competitive for a college job. I also truly enjoy knowing that my work helps to further the kingdom of God.

    Cons

Some of the drawbacks are that the work itself isn't the most intellectually stimulating (but that lets us talk). Sometimes people don't live up to your expectations (but we're all imperfect, and most of the time they do).

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. I love this job.
