I worked at The Cincinnati Insurance Company full-time

    Pros

Wonderful company to work for, great people and atmosphere and so many ways to move up in the company and explore other roles

    Cons

The training program there lacks structure/real guidance, and the person that ran it when I worked there didn’t exactly make me feel welcome. Felt like an outsider in the team I was put on because of it.

I have been working at The Cincinnati Insurance Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Full Benefits (high deductible health insurance). Nice, clean work environment, Training and testing facilities available for certifications. Flexible hours and management allowed for personal time.

    Cons

Team support was non-existent on the team I was assigned. Initial training was vague and was assigned a team job coach who was frequently absent and pre-occupied. My manager was non-commutative and did not speak to me for months. Always felt isolated and ignored. No introductions were made, I had to initiate them.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at The Cincinnati Insurance Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The stock option program is going to be better than many other companies, as is the 401k match.

    Cons

Because of the total 'package' they offer, salaries are lower than others in the area.

I have been working at The Cincinnati Insurance Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have friendly coworkers who genuinely care. They will be lifelong friends. Pay is decent enough.

    Cons

Management plays favorites and lacks professional communication with their employees. They are quick to take unneccessary disciplinary action against slow workers in my experience. Workload can be heavy.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at The Cincinnati Insurance Company

    Pros

Salary and benefits are above average.

    Cons

Antiquated processes and management principles. Performance for PM’s graded mostly on elements out of her/his control. Projects never finish on time as resources are shared and spread way too thin.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at The Cincinnati Insurance Company for more than 8 years

    Pros

100% work from home. Company car.

    Cons

Little to no training. Field claims do everything. Every aspect of every claim. First and third party GL, Auto and property. Commercial and Personal lines. Responsible for pip, MEd pay, salvage, subro, writing both auto and property estimates, coverage, liability, evaluating damage, settling but claims...all while driving all over the state. Management’s theory is working from home is such an amazing benefit that they can work you to death. Told to work nights , weekends and be on call 24/7. No training. Pretty much told to learn on the job but it’s hard when you are responsible for so Many things. Technology is behind the times. Too many chiefs, not enough Indians.
