I have been working at The Cliffs Communities part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working Environment Makes You More Productive
    Flexibility With Schedule
    Leadership Is Clear With Vision
Leadership Is Willing To Invest In Developing Employees

    Cons

The only thing that is TOUGH and not a CON is getting to know the membership from the different communities, to make sure it feels like a premier community to the members.

I worked at The Cliffs Communities full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay. Flexible schedule during the off season. members are for the most part easy to get along with. I very much enjoyed my club level co-workers.

    Cons

Highly toxic corporate environment. Various classes of employees are treated very differently. Corporate staff are treated like members while F&B staff are treated extremely disrespectfully. Senior management takes responsibility for nothing. Staff members are transferred between clubs with zero notice or input. Everyone lives in constant fear of being fired. Easily the most unhealthy, dishonest environment I have every worked in during a 20 year career. Middle management is constantly used as a shield between upper management and members.

    Pros

I loved the members and made really good money. It was such a fun summer job and I really loved the people I worked with over the summer.

    Cons

The management is honestly terrible. I felt like there were many times when I was being unfairly treated because I am a student who had an internship and couldn't be there 24/7.

None - spare yourself a waste of time.

    Cons

Most dysfunctional company in Greenville. Extremely high turnover rate, terrible upper-management, poor financial stability, absolutely do not recommend working for this company.

I worked at The Cliffs Communities full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The restaurants, the views, the golf perks and meeting nice members.

    Cons

The culture at HQ is only suitable for people who are timid or highly submissive and who literally don't care about life outside of work. Upper management is mostly insincere and in no way reflects the core values it insists are the bedrock of the corporation. Very poorly managed, often ignoring industry standards. Employees with average skills but who are willing to be professionally abused typically stay and get promoted. Most everyone else burns out, leaves or gets let go under false pretenses or a cash crunch. Don't leave a good job for a position here; the company's "revolving door" reputation is factual.

    Advice to Management

Live by the rules you create for others. Create a culture in which smart people are trusted to do their jobs, employees really matter, and strategies which match or exceed industry standards are adopted.

I worked at The Cliffs Communities part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, nice members, awesome coworkers, pretty views, looks good on resumes, good food, make good connections with potential future employers (which you should def keep an eye out for)

    Cons

Terrible management, they get away with verbal abuse, play favorites & bully employees
Managers who have no experience, training or business managing staff are in charge of tasks they have no knowledge about.

    Advice to Management

Cut management in half and give the good half a raise. And when 4-5 employees come to corporate with a problem, LISTEN TO THEM.

    Cons

low wages, Management won't fix or replace anything until they absolutely have to, Management was very unorganized and left the slack to the lower level employees.

    Advice to Management

Get out of debt and stop cheaping out on maintenance and wages.

    Pros

Co-workers, good golf courses to play. Amenities to members that employees have access to. Clothing for staff.

    Cons

Management. No communication. Top heavy with too many managers. Getting into same problems they had before bankruptcy. Raises should be better. Little time for training.
