I worked at The Corner Bar and Grill full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun place to work. Small waitstaff, the management wasn't overbearing and they mostly kept to themselves

    Cons

If it got busy there was little support. Often had 10 plus tables at a time

    Advice to Management

Management has changed since I worked here. Stay with what made the corner bar great in the first place. 3$ beer of the day and a great happy hour. This place isn't meant to be run by a corporate restaurant

    Pros

Since it's a small bar and grill with employees, communication between staff is very effective. Friendly atmosphere. A lot of history behind the bar. Excellent food. Free popcorn. Pays bartenders more than most bars in Kalamazoo.

    Cons

    Not much room for advancement.
The surrounding neighborhood is a little rough.
    Small televisions.
No efficient system for ordering liquor. The bar is always out of something.

    Advice to Management

Listen to feedback from your regulars. They are the ones who pay the bills at the end of the day. Be sure to have the beers and liquors they want in stock.
