I have been working at The Crossings (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved the fact that it is small. The staff, especially the therapy department are great.

    Cons

There are several great nurse aides there, but not enough. Being short staffed is a problem, and the aides do their best. Shortage of staff is a problem.

    Advice to Management

Entice better aides, not just warm bodies, to fill the spots that are open.

I have been working at The Crossings full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful facility and grounds with lots for residents to do

    Cons

Always short on staff and supplies

    Advice to Management

Stop putting so many responsibilities on employees

I worked at The Crossings part-time

    Pros

    Decent pay
    Flexible schedule
    Seasonal option for school
    Uniforms provided

    Cons

    Rude kitchen staff
Uneven punishment (Some employees get away with certain things depending on relationship with management)
Coworkers are constantly late or don't show up so you have to take more than you can handle

  4. "Renamed it "Travaasa" and it is a terrible place to work!"

    Pros

Pretty good benefits and PTO. Free lunch cooked on property. Beautiful location with a lot of wildlife.

    Cons

Horrible management, incompetent and terrible customer service was encouraged which made it awkward and uncomfortable for the staff. Lack of regard for dress code or any professional appearance. Many staff members sported hair and attire that was distasteful. Too much responsibility given to people who are not being paid enough for their work and management did nothing to encourage personal of career growth. Management was also very mean spirited and hard to work for, made it a drag to come to work. Attendants also forced to do hard labor in the hot Texas summer wearing jeans and were not allowed to wear anything to accommodate the weather. Re-named Travaasa, but has same management.

    Advice to Management

Do not treat employees like cattle. Reserve some respect for ALL people who work there and always come to work on time and complete all assigned duties above and beyond expectations. Spa Director and Manager especially, these were very cold and mean people. The selfishness some people experienced was beyond comprehension.
