I have been working at The D Casino Hotel full-time

    Pros

Great, supportive environment with a "family business" kind of feel.

    Cons

Be ready to work, not unlike other management positions around town.

I have been working at The D Casino Hotel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the best management around. Pleasant co-workers. fun atmosphere, nice customers and great music.

    Cons

No bonuses or employee recognition; sub-par health insurance; pay for your own parking and uniforms; no meals.

    Advice to Management

You have great management and honest, loyal employees. Many key ingredients are missing in providing them with the tools they need for better communication. Many of your employees need to work 2 jobs just to get by to live and provide for life's basic needs, especially in light of the new health insurance benefits. It would really help to pay for parking, provide a meal, recognize employees going out of their way to provide your company with exemplary customer service via some type of bonus or incentive program; allocate at least 2 sick days per year and a one week vacation after service of at least one year.

I worked at The D Casino Hotel part-time

    Pros

Nice employees for the most part

    Cons

No edr have to bring food or buy lunch everyday, have to pay to park $45 a month just to work, scary walking from car because of all the riff raff on Fremont street people get mugged walking out after work someone got killed not long ago, clients are rude and toothless, you get no tips 80% of the time, customers aren’t even customers because they don’t gamble but expect free drinks all night long and then don’t tip even if you do give them a drink when they put in $20 and try to get 5 drinks from you for them and all their friends, managers are not present very often, managers play favorites, the ac doesn’t work in the casino guests complain all the time in the summer, it’s old and needs a whole new make over, management doesn’t recognize good employees only pays attention to their favorites. Some people get away with anything they do only because they’ve been there super long it’s not fair .

    Advice to Management

Pay closer attention to the employees who work hard , stay late and give great customer service because all of those will be gone soon.
