I have been working at The Dinex Group (More than a year)

    Pros

This has been a great work experience and an opportunity to learn from some highly talented professionals. The facilities are first class and the resume building factor from working here is clearly a plus if you want to go somewhere else. My colleagues are interesting and highly motivated too. A good environment.

I work in New York: Daniel Boulud is often here: If you get a chance to learn from him take it. It's worth it. He is very fair and seems to really care about his staff.

I had a bad experience at a prior job in a Michelin star restaurant. This is so much better.

    Cons

Hours are long and benefits are limited depending on your perspective. But that goes with the territory in my opinion.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. But always listen to your employees.

I have been working at The Dinex Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The price point is high and the quality of food and service meets the standards of the price. Repeat business keeps the traffic steady even when the season is over. her Daniels name on your resume can also be a huge help if you're staying in this industry and leave on good terms.

    Cons

I suppose pooling would be a negative but in the seasonal market it is helpful. I wouldn't do it after I leave this company if I don't have to.

I worked at The Dinex Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Dinex is the corporate umbrella for the entirety of Chef Daniel Boulud's restaurants all over the world. My experience pertains only to those here in NYC. Passion, Drive, Humility, Dedication, Success, Delicious: are all adjectives I would use to describe the colleagues I have had the honor to work with in my tenure. It is my belief all these characteristics trickle down and having a parent company who truly cares for its employees is always a blessing. Chef Daniel is an inspiration!

    Cons

Restaurant hours are notoriously brutal. Sadly no paid benefits for paternity or maternity leave.

    Pros

Amazing place to develop your career in hospitality. Daniel is a true giant in the industry but his heart is even bigger. He loves and values his employees like no one I have ever worked for.

    Cons

Typical con's relate to the industry like long work hours and working on holiday's.

Long hours, demanding boh work environments. Base level pay rates could be higher, but will be raising with new minimum wage laws next year.
