I have been working at The Edge Fitness Clubs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazing work culture. All of my colleagues are motivators and innovators. I always feel supported by my supervisors. With hard work ethic, there are so many opportunities to grow with the company. Their growth is due to their great systems in place.

    Great Benefits and flexibility.

    Cons

Any cons noticed in the past have disappeared with current growth.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the amazing work-you are all an inspiration daily.

I worked at The Edge Fitness Clubs part-time

    Pros

You get to work with kids. You can attempt to trade shifts online. Fun experience despite administration

    Cons

They won't admit to this but low pay, exceedingly high expectations.

    Advice to Management

When you try to sell customers on the edge kids room, let the people who work inside the room do it. Front desk staff has little to no idea of what's going on but they still try to sell the program to parents.

I worked at The Edge Fitness Clubs (More than a year)

    Pros

Large facility with updated fitness machines and free weights. Variety of different classes that could be attended, very well taken care of.

    Cons

Management and owner didn't seem to really care about anything but the money. Worked long hours often late into the night. Payment to employees seemed to be late almost every time.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to employees. Try to make the gym atmosphere more enjoyable and don't make everything about the money.

    Pros

Free gym membership. You get a family feel with the people in your club.

    Cons

Unrealistic goals. Low pay for a hard job. Long work week. Having to harass people to come join the gym. Having to push sales onto people even if they've never been to that gym before.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so hard on your employees. Give more bonuses and incentives for when employees reach goals.
