"An easy job. Working for TFS is fairly easy, just regular stocking, cashiering, and helping customers."

I have been working at The Face Shop part-time

    Pros

The staff is one of the better parts of the store. When you run on nothing, you make it work and that’s one of the things the employees do here. Everyone is really cool and collected.

    Cons

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! upper management and when i mean horrible i mean.... horrible! I have never seen an upper management so unprofessional and tailor to their favorite stores; while other ones suffer from no inventory and inch close to shutting down. Ive seen multiple attempts to contact upper management about all the situations but straight up IGNORED but still want to send out a notice of a promotion when the store...

    Advice to Management

Send inventory! Don’t ignore your employees! They work hard to sell the products that are left in their store, which is little to NOTHING.

I have been working at The Face Shop part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The community is one of the best things about working at the Face Shop, the friends you create make you want to come to work just to be with those people. They are typically the most helpful and most uplifting to your day, The people who are hired here get to know each other through time rather than those who just work amongst each other because it is a job. There are also benefits being that you can try alll of the...

    Cons

a few cons would have to be perfection The business want the store to run in an organized fashion and if you break the organization then its not exactly the end of the world but its defiantly annoying to get an earful. Another con would be that this is not a regular retail job, if youre looking for an easy job this is not it. The training is a lecture of all the products the ingredients and all the rules you are required...

    Advice to Management

Body language should be considered when asking if customers need help, some see the workers as being annoying and int eruptive to their experience.

I worked at The Face Shop part-time

    Pros

Great employer discount, fun coworkers, and if you like Korean Beauty, its a fun place. The work itself can be a bit tiring, but it gives you something to do.

    Cons

The upper management doesn't care about its own employees. The owner doesn't even remember her own employees names or what they look like. All they care about is sales, which is understandable, but the attitude is unappreciated. There's also little to no room for improvement or growth. The lack of a proper human resources department to report to is another con.

    Advice to Management

Please be mindful of your employee's feelings as well as their other priorities such as school. The Face Shop is not going to be their career. Provide the employees with a lot of values and experience so they can apply it to their futures. Also, be respectful to those who are working for you. Not even trying to understand your employees is the reason why there's such a high turnover rate.

I worked at The Face Shop full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - employee discount - schedule flexibility

    Cons

    - unprofessional upper management - upper management is two faced - under staffed

    Advice to Management

Please develop a proper policy guideline that employees and managers can follow. I worked at Faceshop for a year and a half. As my first actual job it was great especially as a teenager in highschool, I was offered a position as a sales associate and it was really fun because you will get to learn a lot about skincare and the science behind it all. That fun ended when I got promoted to store manager ( all my previous...

I have been working at The Face Shop part-time

    Pros

I worked as a part time worker. Very flexible schedule and manager is very nice. She understands everyone's situation and will take into account. Free samples & 50% off for employees.

    Cons

Just basic training on the products. Doesn't respect workers who try to get more sales for the company. Company only cares about its monthly revenue sales and not employees. They will bully new employees because they have no experience. Products always low in stock. Due to their management, there is a high turnover rate. Management will agree to do certain things but will never do it. Therefore not a lot of employees...

    Advice to Management

Respect employees, know the environment, and put customers and employees first to gain and obtain returning customers. Adjust policy to make employees willing to work for you. Don't bully the employees but be supportive to each and everyone so they will try harder. Train people about your products, teach them how to do basic make up, so they can teach and sell products to customers better. Be more organized. ...
