    Pros

The General truly cares about their employees! They offer incredibly generous employee benefits including the typical medical, dental, vision and PTO, as well as employer paid life & disability, 401K matching, continuing ed assistance, scholarships for families of high school graduates, paid maternity & paternity leave, paid parental leave to care for aging parents, bonuses tied to company & personal performance, program for aspiring leaders, PTO for community service, and national and local charity sponsorship....just to name a few! Honestly a great place to work!

    Keep doing what you're doing!

    Pros

Definite opportunity to move up The claims ladder

    Cons

The amount of claims givers adjusters is unreal. There's no way anyway kept up at work. Some supervisor know it's busy and still hound you. Upper management is out of touch with current claims handling.

    Advice to Management

Do more studies on time it takes to handle a claim form start to finish.

    Pros

    Good health benefits.and fair raises

    Cons

The managers promoted within were not management material. They were very great at the industry knowledge, but lacked leadership.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote someone just because they are your friend and they know the business. That does not make them a great manager or leader. And if you do, teach them and watch them and be aware of what they are doing and don't just take there words for it. Ask with surveys or keep your eyes open. Bad and inappropriate things happening in the workplace between management and CSR's.

    Pros

It's a great environment to work in. In my area, you are held responsible for the quality of your work. The stress on quality is evident. However, if you are a professional at what you do, that's not a problem.

We have fund raisers for the United Way and JDRF. We give back to the community in many ways. We also help our own co-workers in need. Our organization cares about the community. That is a facet that I love and promote.

The upper management cares about their employees and will bend over backwards to help. I've worked many places through my career, but I've never been treated better than at The General.

I'm excited about my future at The General and think that great things are to come for all of us. I would invite anyone to please consider this environment. I feel that as an organization, we are about to truly

    Cons

There are no cons that I can think of.
