I worked at The Geneva Foundation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good salary, supportive work environment, Geneva'so policies and management demonstrate a genuine care about their mission and take good care of their employees.

    Cons

None, other than the occasional challenges of working remotely, but the staff at the main office was always helpful and responsive.

I have been working at The Geneva Foundation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Awesome benefits:
4 weeks PTO (sick & vacation) for full time ee's
    12 holidays
    100% employer paid benefits
403B match up 50% up to 10% of salary

    Cons

Not a lot of research went into selecting the accounting/hr program (prior to my hire) so the software doesn't offer the options you need to perform your job efficiently.

Salary isn't competitive - stays mid range due to government restrictions

    Advice to Management

Provide a more social meeting area for employees for meals. Currently only 2 small break rooms with 1 small 4 top table each. It would be nice since most everyone takes lunch at the same time to be able to fit more than 4 people sitting down in the kitchen area. Also, another microwave, considering there's always a line waiting.

Another suggestion would be to provide healthy snacks for employees who are working hard for you. I came from an employer who filled the break room with healthy snack options such as seasonal fruits, nuts, cheese, yogurts (all from local Costco delivery) which improved employee performance, health and moral.

    Pros

No insurance premiums! Wonderful HR, they take fantastic care of their employees

    Cons

Limited jobs in some locations, I'd love to stay with this company, but don't think I'll have the opportunity once this project is done.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

as a contractor, they are pretty hands off...if you like feeling connected, then this isn't the job for you...but they leave you to do your job and check in as needed...free insurance...

    Cons

they recently changed to a new payroll and employee management system...doesn't seem to the best ever, but not a deal breaker

I have been working at The Geneva Foundation (More than a year)

    Pros

I have never worked for a company that takes such good care of it's employees. As I work away from the headquarters, communication is key. Emails and phone calls are returned in a timely manner and I am never left wondering. The benefits package is one of the best I've ever seen. Highly recommend.

    Cons

None. It has been an absolute pleasure to work for this organization.

I worked at The Geneva Foundation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Geneva Foundation is a non-profit that manages research projects on behalf of the Department of Defense. They are a really good company to work for. Management is very easy to contact and are very supportive. The work is varied and interesting. Great benefits.

    Cons

Because all projects are grant-funded, it can mean that projects end and there may not be other suitable projects available. I lost my job there, not because I wanted to leave, not because Geneva wanted to lose me, but because there was not suitable work available.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing great work!!! Support our military in a very meaningful and tangible way.
