I worked at The Glover Park Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the best clients in the world. Other agencies in DC and beyond envy the client roster.
Extremely smart and talented colleagues that truly do treat each other like family. I have made lifelong friends at GPG.
Opportunity to work across multiple practice verticals and specialities. Exposure to many communications needs and situations.
Great benefits including health and flexible schedules. Above industry average in time-off and pay.
Rewards entrepreneurialism. If you are self-starter and team collaborator that can add value, you will go far.

    Cons

Some long hours (to be expected).
Internal communication on hires and departures could be better.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

I worked at The Glover Park Group as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interning at The Glover Park Group was a very rewarding experience. Interns are tasked with working on client-facing work, are trusted by team members and are challenged to work on multiple projects at once. Additionally, GPG provides a great learning environment and allows interns to really dive into what they're interested in.

    Cons

Just like any internship, there are some administrative tasks that need to be done. Nothing out of the ordinary or surprising.

I worked at The Glover Park Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

What a great place to work, in a lot of ways GPG is like a big family, After leaving I realize a lot of things I took for granted. Some of my closest friends are former or current GPG employees. The company culture is very much a work hard play hard lifestyle and there is never a shortage of interesting clients to work with. It’s not for everyone but it’s really a testament to the founders and HR for bringing the right set of people that align with the companies culture. After leaving you realize some companies don’t believe in cultivating company culture as much as GPG, and makes me wish I could come back. The company trips are amazing, and I still long for my macbook air than my current 5 pound brick of a laptop.

    Cons

Besides my addiction to La Croix I can't think of any..

    Advice to Management

More check-ins with your employees would be helpful. At my current company we do check-ins every 4/6 weeks and even though it's only 10/15 minutes it's really helpful.

I worked at The Glover Park Group as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice people, great, fun company culture, lots of opportunity if you seek it out, the intern project is fun and interesting

    Cons

Sometimes not a lot of work to do, I wish there had been more emphasis on mentorship, it would have been helpful to get feedback earlier in the summer

    Advice to Management

Provide the interns with feedback as needed and earlier so we can work on our flaws and improve!
