I worked at The Goddard School full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice kids, clean environment, organized & structured, staff perks like breakfasts, nice ownership, caring staff. Flexible time off, good work/life balance

    Cons

Low pay (but better than average), some entitled families who complained and were very hard to please, lots of gossip - to the point where you should assume someone WILL be talking about you at some point. Long hours. Can get boring at times. There’s room for movement into other classrooms, but limited growth potential for higher management positions.

    Advice to Management

Be kind and impartial; don’t badmouth other staff in front of their coworkers.

I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Kids are really rewarding to work with

    Cons

    - no training , I was passed off into a classroom and the teachers in my room have not helped me learn anything about my job .
    - when I Take initiative so I can contribute often am told I’m doing it wrong or that it would be easier for them to do it themselves than to show me how
    - all the teachers seem to have the schedule down and each have their niche , I feel like I’m just getting in the way. I feel like an intruder in a group that doesn’t want me

    Advice to Management

Provide training to your teachers in the classroom , give a schedule of the daily activities .
