I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The families spoil me as a teacher. It seems like every month I am getting gifts and cards from my parents and directors reminding me how appreciated I am. The families care about their kids which results in well-behaved kids who are eager to learn and please. The curriculum is fun to plan and with the constant weekly and monthly themes, you never get bored coming up with new ideas for the students.

    Cons

There are currently no health benefits or 401k.

    Pros

Really great people to work for, great kids & parents. Paid time off, Christmas/New Years vacation, and sick days.

    Cons

The pay is not that great for the amount of work you do, especially working with such young children. There's also no room to move up unless you have a degree

    Advice to Management

Raise your pay so you keep your workers

I worked at The Goddard School full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The children are excellent to work with. I really loved all the teachers as well. We were close group of friends that would always help each other out when needed.

    Cons

The pay if not good compared to all the work you are doing throughout the day. Being with so many children of all hours of the day is exhausting and breaks are much needed.

    Advice to Management

Help the teachers more if asked, listen to their complaints whether it be about children or their parents. Teacher appreciation is a must as well! Teachers need to feel appreciated and respected.

I worked at The Goddard School full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small classes, good support from supervisors/owners, allows you to be creative with lesson plans and classroom design, parents were great

    Cons

Pay could have been better, lack of professional development, days off are minimal, not much room for growth or advancement

    Advice to Management

Pay better for more qualified teachers, offer more professional development. The more you hire qualified teachers, the better your school will be. You get what you pay for...

I worked at The Goddard School full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great staff and environment, excellent families to work with

    Cons

A lot of the school owners have no experience in education and it shows. They consider students as clients and are not a great support system. Low pay and salary cap is reached quickly.

    Pros

I worked at the Issaquah, WA location. Admin and staff were very nice. Very fast paced environment. Great place to start career or to gain more experience in child development/childcare

    Cons

The pay is not that great and it is a little difficult to get a lot of time off (although if you tell them in advance they are pretty willing)

    Advice to Management

Could use a little a bit of organization, but overall the management isn't too bad. Admin should also keep teachers informed
