I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I absolutely love working for the Goddard School. Management appreciates their staff and goes out of their way to show their appreciation. The staff and co workers enjoy their jobs and want to be there. Everyone is friendly and supports each other. It is s great working environment and I look forward to going to work daily. Management listens to concerns the staff has and tries to do whatever it takes to make the experience a positive one.

    Cons

Supplies can be minimal at some times and staff can be in demand at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue to appreciate the staff and support us as much as you can! Keep up the good work!

I have been working at The Goddard School part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a teacher you get to see the children grow and you grow with them, becoming close with each one. Your students become a second family and you get to nurture them as they grow

    Cons

    Unpaid breaks
Full work day but little pay, seriously minimum wage?

I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The best part of working at the school is the curriculum is very good it is easy to build off and to see true improvement from the students. The students are though in all honesty the best part of the job, period.

    Cons

The challenges of working here are the schedules are constantly changing, with some preference to certain employees to have their preferred schedule, whereas others are expected to be flexible at all times due to being short staffed on regular and daily basis.

    Advice to Management

The directors could do with some training on communicating clearly with staff. As teachers we are expected to provide clear and easy to follow directions for the students to follow,it is difficult when directors tell us to do something with no support, guidance or assistance, especially when the staff have asked for it.

I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I've worked at many preschool's, and this was by far my best experience. I've worked at 2 different locations and the management really does determine the experience you're going to have. The classrooms are decorated and beautiful. I loved the children.. some families can be a bit much, but it's a business and you have to please everyone to an extent.

    Cons

Get benefits for employees! It will help encourage them to stay and keep the turnover rate low.

    Advice to Management

Keep a neutral mind and stop favoritism among employees.

I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent leadership and owners. No nonsense when it comes to teaching and training children, and being truly part of the community. Other owners are "fly by night, " while these are professionals that have proven themselves in academia, and industry. The curriculum is adhered to, and focused on developing children to lead, be successful people, students, and contributing members to the community.

Staff and teachers are hand picked and compensated above average for industry, but are expected to act as professionals with children, parents, and community. Clearly not a place for "just a job" or drama, but a place to make a career with a caring staff and owners, who go above beyond for their team!

    Cons

wish you came earlier to the community :)

    Advice to Management

continue to maintain best in class staff and teachers, while vetting out sub-standard performance

I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love working here. I have worked for other schools and had bad experiences with them. At this school, the management and staff are so nice! They are also very flexible when it comes to scheduling. I have small kids and the management has been very nice about letting me take time off to manage by personal affairs. I also love the fact that the owner is at the school everyday. She is very approachable. The staff takes care of each other. If a teacher is down on her luck, the whole school helps out. Some teachers here have said that this is the only place they will ever work until they retire. I agree with them!!

    Cons

I wish the benefits were there (like medical), but I can manage without it for now. Still, I love working here!

    Advice to Management

I love how you guys get involved with everything and address all concerns and issues immediately. Also, thanks for maintaining a NO DRAMA school! Thank you!

I have been working at The Goddard School full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Love my job! Love my co-workers! Love our little country school! Most of all I love our children and families. We have a great management team with an onsite owner who supports the entire staff. All are very approachable and caring. Our school offers fantastic benefits for employees which in this day and age is very hard to come by. I am so thankful to be working where we are valued and taken very well cared for. It is not just a job but feels like a home away from home.

    Cons

I can not think of anything.
