Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookI have been working at The Graduate Center full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
The benefits package is pretty good.
Cons
Most of the tenured or tenure track faculty are divas, with little respect for other professionals. But, it's not a professional environment. If you have worked outside of CUNY you will be baffled, frustrated, disheartened, shocked, and ultimately take one of two paths: (a) follow in the footsteps of the majority and assume your role as placeholder who does very little or (b) save your soul and sense of worth and high tail it out of there. A word to the wise professional - run (away).
