I worked at The Great Indoors full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There were opportunities to grow, learn and be promoted.

    Cons

Commission based was great, but the hourly associated with Kitchen Bath designer was appallingly low.

    Advice to Management

Kitchen & Bath designers should have a base salary. As Business Trainer, I was paid on K/B design hourly and when a return occured due to delivery challenge, then my commission from Kitchen/Bath would suffer the deficit from return sale.

I worked at The Great Indoors (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was full of flexible people that were willing to help you out and it was a really healthy work environment.

    Cons

There was a lot of physical labor that was involved in my specific job , such as lifting furniture and appliances. This put a lot of physical stress on your body.

    Advice to Management

Management could work better at keeping the people in separate departments truly working in their departments instead of calling people out of their jobs actual work to work on something else.

I worked at The Great Indoors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good department structure and great, original products available to customers.

    Cons

Out-dated technology caused delays in processing and recieving orders, lost product and added expense for the company. The long process time and delays also annoyed customers.

    Advice to Management

Spen a little extra money on the initial programing and equipment to save time and money later reducing lost products and angry customers

The work there was easy and the environment was laid back enough. Most customers were very nice and good people.
