I worked at The Guthrie Clinic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place to learn how to become a better clinician. They like to accept their own trainees for employment.

    Cons

    understaffed, support staff not respected

    Advice to Management

Hire more support staff. I'm not sure if more competitive salaries would help to draw employees in.

I worked at The Guthrie Clinic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent people to work with. Professional and open to new ideas. The case management team works closely with each other for the advancement of the department.

    Cons

The organization seems top-heavy with administrators who seem to mainly be concerned with revenue and not often concerned with employee satisfaction.

I worked at The Guthrie Clinic (More than a year)

    Pros

Hmm not many positive things I can say. Was not a good experience.

    Cons

    - staff are rude and unwelcoming to new staff, felt like an intruder.
    - too many cliques
    - clinics are not clean, and many times are in violation of DOL & DOH standards
    - not very organized about workflow- expect staff to manage work, without giving the proper slotted time to complete task.
    - refuse to pay any overtime- will be expected to "donate" your time to complete tasks

    Advice to Management

You really need to get a clue. You are not managing your personal well. You employ managers that are not effective.
Upper management are very phony, they say they care, but it's not evident by the way they lead the managers.
    - pay is not competitive
    - very disorganized and messy throughout clinics-
    - work short handed many times because people quit because they hate working at a place that does not value what they bring to the table and treat them as though they aren't value able.

I worked at The Guthrie Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Salary was decent, largest healthcare system in the area, nice surrounding suburb that looked safe to live in, nice looking campus.

    Cons

Job was completely different than advertised. Almost nothing on the job posting coincided with the actual responsibilities. This shows the company stretches the truth, and I am not interest in working for a company I cannot trust.

    Advice to Management

Instead of driving away talent by inaccurate job postings, focus on building long term relationships, even if talent does not fit the profile for the position. Otherwise, a bad reputation can spread quickly.

I have been working at The Guthrie Clinic full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Guthrie is patient centered, has great core values ,enjoy working as a team . Monday - Friday 8-5 only work 5 days on weekend a year, Benefits are great ,they work with you to balance your work/family

    Cons

having to work short staffed when call ins as not enough float staff to cover all areas.
    Pay rate

    Advice to Management

Hire more people that want a career doing what they like not just a person to fill a spot.
Hire more Physicians for the specialty areas, Doctors are getting burned out, and leaving.

    Pros

My interview process with smooth and simple and the recruiter kept in contact with me throughout. The on-boarding / pre-employment items were simple. There is opportunity to advance/move within the company and as well as a lot of people with long tenure, which says a lot to me. Senior management is approachable and knows where they are leading the company. Guthrie offers great benefits and a work/life balance.

    Cons

So far everything is great here

    Pros

Senior management listens to patient needs, good benefits and health care. Good communication with referring MD

    Cons

Low salary for job title when compared to elsewhere in state. Low to normal when compared to local salary. Very busy schedule. However admin staff allows time for documentation!

    Advice to Management

Consider raises for long standing employees to keep them from leaving
