    Pros

Hanover is a great company that provides you with a wealth of opportunities to realize your full potential.

    Cons

The location in Worcester is very boring as well as the people there. Recommended for people over 40.

    Advice to Management

If you had offices in areas other than Worcester, you could attract better talent which would allow you to be competitive with competitors.

    Pros

Managers have an open door policy. It's a very warm and welcoming environment to work in. I feel lucky to be working here.

    Cons

Sometimes managers focus more on negative work issues rather than the positive. No other cons

    Advice to Management

Let your employees know when they are doing a good job a little more often

    Pros

The people are great to work with and the company is really starting to evelove. I think this comany is going to develop into one of the top insurers in the US.

    Cons

Growth in the company depends on who you know and if you are recognized for your work. Sometimes the old roots of the company holds back growth.

    Advice to Management

I think some older departments need to be revamped and spend money on more technology upgrades.

Great opportunity to get exposure and shine in a mid-sized organization. Exposure to C-Level executives as well as Business Unit leaders. Fast paced, changing environment. Collaborative work environment, team approach to achieving company results.

    Cons

Nothing to speak of. Employees must take control of their career, and not expect the organization to do it for them.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in technology across the organization.

I have been working at The Hanover Insurance Group full-time

    Pros

Fred Eppinger and his leadership walk the talk. Best professional talent I've ever worked with.

    Cons

Middle management weak; only certain managers evolve/develop employees-most do not, thus you need to be prepared to find your own way.
