Turn over is high for a reason

    Pros

    Flex time Pay Insurance Parking

    Cons

Lack of training in the Epic program pertaining to the job by direct manager. It isn’t the work load it’s the training. Supervisor watches your computer to see how long u work (she said this). Weird! Very micro managed by direct supervisor. The supervisor that has had many grievances makes the environment toxic to the employees, and among co workers. No remote access at all! You can not use Drs notes to excuse an absence. Her direct boss is kind and very knowledgeable but no one seems to be able to handle the toxic level- the turn over in that department is very high under this one supervisor.

Great organization, great mission, great benefits, regular pros/cons

    Jul 26, 2022 - Human Resources
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

The benefits options are great. The retirement account matching (up to 10%) provides a great way to save. The health benefits and other options are above average. They encourage internal promotions and allow internal transfers after 90 days. The organization is an integral part of the community where you can see direct impact of your work. The organization does try to keep salaries at market levels. Some positions are highly sought after and have sign on bonuses.

    Cons

Salaries are mostly average overall, but can be below average in some areas. The organization does merit increases only every other year and no annual cost of living increases. Turnover can be high in some areas.

    Pros

    Well, you get a paycheck.

    Cons

Supervisors that don't back you up. Doctors that don't back you up. Nurses that don't back you up. Always short staffed. Unit cramped to excessive levels. (Doctors admit patients in to get the census up. More bodies = more money. Regardless if there is not enough staff to handle it, they will fill unit to capacity +.) Lazy techs. (They just hire anyone because of high turnover. )

    Pros

Some of the people were nice, but overall not a great workplace.

    Cons

Overworked, overworked, overworked. Doing the Psychiatrists job by completing their notes, too many clients for them to keep up with, and just overall unorganized. If you want to be miserable, work here. Constantly stressed, pushed beyond your limits, and put into positions where your safety is at risk.
