I worked at The Haskell Company full-time

    Pros

Benefits are wonderful, 401k, ESOP, Reasonable medical, dental and vision

    Cons

Management needs a lot of training on how to be more effective and how to stay out of rumors and drama. They also need to learn how to value employees who are dedicated and loyal to their position/company.

I worked at The Haskell Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You will see projects from start to finish. Any free time you have can be spent on any side projects you imagine. New R&D group brings promise of more internal opportunities. Great working atmosphere; everyone is easy to get along with. How quickly you advance is up to your own initiative and eagerness to learn. Abundant travel opportunities, mostly national. Training within the automation team is well segmented...

    Cons

Team is short-staffed at the time of this review. Travel can exceed 50% (more than 26 weeks of the year). Management is aware this is unsustainable and is working to resolve. Projects are 90% packaging food and beverage, so little project variety. Projects are often delayed and site time extended due to no fault of yours or even anyone in Haskell. Customers are often unprepared to take on responsibility for the project...

    Advice to Management

The 1-5 start ratings in this review consider that a great employee at Haskell typically receives around a 4/5 while average falls around 2-3/5. Each 3 star item in this review is actively being explored, and I know Haskell will continue to improve. Concerning the training management is going through, I feel it would be very beneficial for those trainers to speak with the engineers to get candid feedback on areas...

    "Inconsistent Culture"

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I have been working at The Haskell Company full-time

    Pros

The culture in the corporate office is great. Very open and focused on teams. There is some tendency for people to be in the 'in' crowd.

    Cons

Haskell has a habit of pushing younger employees, if they are in the 'in' crowd, to certain levels whether they are ready for it or not. This results in some leadership issues with lack of experience and some arrogance.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at The Haskell Company full-time

    Pros

The company promotes good core values and expects its employees to live up to those values.

    Cons

Layoffs of 2-3 people seemed relatively common and without warning this lead to a feeling of insecurity.
