I worked at The Hershey Company full-time

    Pros

Free chocolate. That is pretty much it.

    Cons

This is not a place to go if you aren't politically savvy. The quality of your work or your contribution to the company is not factor in your success there.

I worked at The Hershey Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salary Competitive benefits including relocation Viewed positively by investment community Well known name on your resume

    Cons

If you aren't assigned to a chocolate brand, good luck. Hershey wants to be a snacking company, but because its chocolate products are its most important equities, you won't receive the same training, development and internal respect in marketing if you don't work on a chocolate brand. Furthermore, Talent Management Committee that manages rotations and promotions is staffed by Chocolate brand directors. So again, if you...

    Advice to Management

Stop treating folks who don't work in chocolate marketing like they are ugly stepchildren and make the promotion and talent management processes more transparent.

I worked at The Hershey Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people are very collaborative and not cut-throat competitive as I have heard of other CPGs. The opportunity for rotation and promotion is abundant.

    Cons

If you are single you may struggle to find a life outside of work as the city and company environment caters to families.

I worked at The Hershey Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people, Nice people, and future growth engine from india & china

    Cons

From export market pov, too weak infrastructure in export itself. Basics are often disregarded when coming to proper labeling, export documentation etc. causing huge pain and sales loss. Does not seem to improve from mistakes. No one really gets blamed so it happens again and again.

    Advice to Management

Need more thought and focus on international business as well.

Very friendly, competent and hard working staff. The products were so well liked they were bought by The Hershey Company in 2012.

    Cons

The company was acquired by the Hershey Company and as a result most administrative positions were eliminated unless they were directly associated with manufacturing operations.
