I have been working at The Hershey Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Money is the only good thing.

    Cons

An unfortunate benefit of working at Hershey I only found out almost one year later. After research I found a review from 2017 saying what really does happen. I reluctantly agreed to this job change. I wish I stood my ground. An environment like Hershey is not at all conducive to at home relationships. Hook ups seem to be the norm and management turns a blind eye. Friends who suggested she work at Hershey told...

    Advice to Management

Stop turning a blind eye to what is going on within the concrete walls. Other companies have strict rules and not only adhere to them, but follow through. It is sad that employees would tell others to be careful of the hook up environment at the Stuarts Draft location.

I worked at The Hershey Company part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The work you do is interesting and you get to travel to convenience stores in your area and meet a lot of people. I loved the job, or at least I did before the company sucked all the enjoyment out if it. I worked in two different districts, Atlanta and Charlotte West, and had fantastic coworkers in both. Very exceptional people. I didn't get to see them very often, but seeing them at meetings ended up being the only thing...

    Cons

The culture is absolutely horrible. Very hostile work environment with gaslighting and mind games. Someone told us at a sales meeting that the RSM team is a "cheap date" for the company. It is insulting to hear something like that but hey, at least they admit it. They don't pay enough for what you do in this job and it shows how little respect they have for you to say something like that. When I started this job 12 years...

    Advice to Management

To paraphrase Ayn Rand...you can avoid reality, but you can't avoid the consequences of avoiding reality. You can't avoid the consequences of poor business decisions and disrespect. The people who are out in the field every day are the ones who know what is going on. You're not listening and you only hear what you want to hear. You have to start from a place of mutuality and respect. Learn to respect the way people work...

I have been working at The Hershey Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Still has core Hershey/family feel and values Strong Compensation

    Cons

Can be difficult to come from the outside. Long term employees are listened to more and "taken care of" versus external hires. Although, external hires are well compensated, you can end up feeling like you hit walls where people don't want to change and can be the first "hit" when things like restructuring happens.

    Advice to Management

In a bit of flux right now. Needs to improve in terms of a strong long term and sustainable strategy
