    OKAY but not OKAY (4/10)

Oct 4, 2022 - Territory Sales Manager in Indianapolis, IN

    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Brand recognition Great autonomy as long as you manager isn't around Great way to make B2B sales report for you resume Upper Managers (regional and National) Company has been around forever and will be long after the writer of this post is gone.

    Cons

Middle management has never ran a business in the real world so they don't know how to make decisions unless hey aren't in a handbook. TO much BACK CHANNELING of information to middle management from tenured employees, never been around a group of adults that have made me felt so alone in the workforce. Much emphasis is but on handbook, execution to the handbook and how they want it, EVEN if your sales are amazing they will be unsatisfactory if they don't follow the planned execution. Sometimes upper management-CSE's- will OVER sell bad preforming products into stores and it damages your relationships with clients and managers in regions that is docent preform well always, it creates distrust with clients.

Minimize priorities, or recognize the unrealistic volume that is put on employees to manage (could be department specific and not company-wide problem)

    Overall great place to work!

Sep 14, 2022 - Sr Financial Analyst in Hershey, PA

    Pros

It feels like Hershey constantly listens to their employees and does the best they can when they can. Senior leadership has your back in your career if your prove you’re a hard worker. Hershey has some of the best talent and there’s no shortage of individuals ready to go the distance for the company. The benefits are okay as well.

    Cons

The salary being paid is not along the lines of national averages. I feel like a lot of the lowest level employees are underpaid while the higher managers reap the rewards of how the lower level individuals perform.

Great Job out of college, but lacks equal opportunity for minorities

    Oct 3, 2022 - Territory Sales Leader
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn corporate/sales skills essential for career success Great management that cares for your well being (most of them, not all) Great place to meet amazing people/friends Great PTO policy Amazing benefits for an entry level role

    Cons

If you’re a person of color, you probably won’t get promoted unless you try harder than any white person on your team. They favor young, white women over anyone else and make it INSANELY easy for them to move up the later. Don’t listen to the “most diverse company” claims. They like to keep people of color at the bottom of the totem pole. Also, there is a lot of fake-ness and cult like behavior.
