- Long hours (9 to sometimes 12 hour days if you factor in the drives between stores) - Very physically intense job with little to no office or down time: heavy lifting cases of candy, digging thru pallets in chaotic Walmart backrooms, trying to drag pallets and displays of candy around customers without hitting anyone - Dealing with unfriendly and demanding store management (mainly from the Walmart account) who may tell you what your job is rather than respecting you and allowing you to follow the specific priorities that Hershey delegates to you - Relocation all over the country in order to move up, combined with long hours especially during seasons (Halloween/Christmas/Val Day/Easter) makes this job a tough work/life balance - Battling for space and fighting the competitors on the sales floor during seasons - Some reviews will talk this job up, some will tear it down. At the end of the day, you need to evaluate what exactly you want in a career. Some people love this role, others do not. You're in Walmarts and other grocery stores during the day, trying to find great space on the sales floor to display Hershey product. You need to be an outgoing personality type who is comfortable being on your own all day and not afraid to be assertive and fight for space. You also need to be able to power thru with positivity even if you had a rough day with several negative interactions. This role is inherently confrontational, which some people may not like.
