Strong company handcuffed by inability to truly grow outside US

    Pros

Many smart, hardworking employees who want to win and want to utilize a "team" approach. For the most part the employees care about each other which helps keep one motivated when you work lots of extra hours. Company pay very well but benefits, like medical, continue to be squeezed. Company has many strong brands and there is a desire to assure quality remains strong.

    Cons

Environment is heavily process driven and decisions take an inordinate amount of internal alignment to things moving. Sr. Management has lost some sense of the optimal price/value within the category and competition is starting to win. The total business is often challenged as the desire to expand globally does not work with the U.S. being the sole profit driver. Thus, the core business is always getting asked to do more with less.
