I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There store has great benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, life insurances and many more options. College reimbursement for tuitions (dependent on which school) and textbooks.

    Cons

Little promotional opportunities, weak management, terrible pay advancement (all workers despite actual work effort get the same raise). Upper management fails to effectively motivate workers to achieve goals and fails to take responsibility for their own mistakes, often blaming the lowest man on the totem pole for mistakes they are obligated to recognize as a "trained and specialized" individuals

    Advice to Management

Look out for knowledgeable and hard working associates. Recognize work imbalances and end favoritism within the workplace. Good workers are over looked based on biased decisions

I worked at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is OKAY. Working returns isn't so bad, it's pretty decent but wasn't allowed to very often

    Cons

A lot of standing, sexual harassment as a woman, managers will make you push credit cards on unwilling customers, will base your performance completely on people who sign up for their cards, breaks are not taken properly, and a lot of manipulating between coworkers.

    Advice to Management

Act like a true company and fix the sexual harassment issue in your stores. I quit because nothing was being done about my horrible experience

I worked at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Usually great ppl work here. Good pay rate.

    Cons

Managers are stressed out a lot so they can be mean. They never come directly to you of they are mad with something you did. They will yell at your supervisor first and then they will yell at you. Customers are usually nasty men who think its ok to flirt with all the female cashiers
