I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pays enough to live in a nice neighborhood. This job is a means to an end. My real focus is my business asset!

    Cons

I currently work 40 hours a week vs. being financially free in 2018!

    Advice to Management

Pay better wages because this company is doing very well. Also, have a leadership and accountability program versus disciplinary attendance program. Treat people like people, not dollar signs.

I worked at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Steady job without much expectation for change. You will get more responsibilities and opportunity to advance, if you show loyalty.

    Cons

The pay scale isn't really something to build a career on. Also, you definitely need to have patience in dealing with customers who really don't know what they're talking about.

    Advice to Management

There seems to be a lot of turnover with employees, and I think this is because of the low pay scale. I know the game is all about profits, but quality help doesn't always come cheap.

I worked at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

good work balance, fair pay, quality of work and work demanded was not overwhelming or extreme, felt like you were working with friends not just co-workers

    Cons

low pay, set schedule, improvement needed for online training portals, more discussion of employee needs

    Advice to Management

keep doing what has made the company a success, keep the benefits package for store employees, and keep building trust with em,ployees and management

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible Scheduling, Great environment with nice people, paid vacation, benefits, great for college students

    Cons

(Depending on the department)the work is easy but stressful, pay (started off in the lot at 7.75), disconnect between corporate management and store management (leading to more work than necessary) unless your in need of a job I would not recommend...they don't pay enough for the multiple departments with limited training you'll be in

    Advice to Management

Pay more to keep good associates!!

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Can move up the ladder fairly quickly if you work hard, decent benefits, fun activities from time to time, good co-workers.

    Cons

Understaffed, under paid, credit card quotas are ridiculous on merchandising departments. The sales "plan" is often way higher than what the projected sales actually are, and your bonus is dependant on meeting and beating that made up number.

    Advice to Management

Either hire more people, or pay the people you have more money, there is a huge work load between having to work your own freight and helping customers.
