I worked at The Home Depot part-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

For a part time job, this was a great job. There wasn't any stress and the pay was decent.

      Cons

Having to close, the store usually closes around 10PM and you won't be out until 11PM.

I worked at The Home Depot part-time for more than a year

      Pros

Friendly staff, hours were pretty flexible.

      Cons

There's so many products it's hard to provide customers with information on everything. Some manual labor.

      Advice to Management

Maybe an informational handbook for employees to help them navigate through product recommendations.

      Pros

This company always care about your break they are great in this area, better benefits for part time comparing to others companies.

      Cons

Very low hourly pay, if you are a part time when the seat is down they cut hours.

      Advice to Management

At Home Depot Managers and coworkers threat you very well. The only bad thing about this company is that they pay is too low. I did have to get food stamp when I work there.

I worked at The Home Depot part-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Friendly people easy to balance life if you’re in college or have another job

      Cons

Managers suck and they gave me $0.14 raise after a year working and won’t promote unless they are friends

      Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and give them a reasonable raise not one just because they have to

I worked at The Home Depot full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

I had to pause and think for a minute... you can purchase Home Depot stock at a 15% discount and sell it back to them later if you like, so there’s that.

      Cons

Little room for advancement. Pay isn’t commensurate with the work. Raises are laughable and barely keep up with inflation, if they do at all. Attempts to unionize result in mass firings. Imagine how awful customers coming to a home improvement store can be. Drug test if you get hurt or break something worth more than $200. Assistant managers are often useless.

      Advice to Management

Pay a living wage and treat employees with more respect.
