    No growth. No pay incentive when new skills learned. ie Forklift driver. Management doesn't support you.

    Working in a big box there definitely a lot of drama

    Always go the extra mile to care for the customers and please always push cross department training to all employees, even your team managers. Knowledge sells!!

    Don't plan to stay too long or get too involved. They talk a great game, but it's all propaganda.

    Horrible middle management. They promote the lazy people and find fault with the good workers.

    The Home Depot has a good benefit program and okay pay.

    Company policy is to not allow fixed schedules. This means most positions will work all shifts (and the shift might change daily) and have different days off every week.

    Ensure your regional, district, store mamagers are Genuine : "care for each other "by listening to employee issues. Be advocates/ coaches for associates. There are many good and excellent associates who value integrity and are smart working. When you genuinely put your people first your profits are maximized without much effort.

    Pros

    Overnight,quiet store,fast paced,good coworkers,great benefits.I had a great manager who went the extra mile to make you feel appreciated..She would take us to breakfast occasionally and provide food for our lunch break at 3:00am

    Cons

    Some delays in trucks coming in and having to rush to get job done,being short handed at times or having to train new people who had no desire to be there and having to do their job as well as your own

    Advice to Management

    Provide better incentive to stay an employee
