I have been working at The Home Depot for more than 2 years

    Pros

They have good benefits you can use and the starting pay is good as well. Some parts of the job are easy and others aren’t.

    Cons

Most days you can be left alone for hours in a day in end with no one to cover your department. This happens to me all the time. They leave me alone for up to 8+ hours a day with no breaks, no lunch and no one to even cover the department for me. If this happens to you just expect to be doing all the work alone. The managers play favorites.

    Advice to Management

Don’t play favorites in the store it’s wrong on your part and schedule enough people in a department in a day instead of leaving all the work on one person. That’s how you loose employees

I worked at The Home Depot part-time for more than a year

    Pros

the coworkers are awesome and the work isnt too hard as a cashier

    Cons

the aware line is a smokescreen to leave a message for the store manager and they will force you to push cards that are basically worthless. sell or be fired though.

    Advice to Management

bring back the 5% discount. a military ID is already more than that and most sales are under $100 so youd only lose $5 per sale but they still have a 27% APR. youve already got the upper hand. give us a bone so we can sell the damned things...
