Big store with 1,000's of items which means there is always something new to learn. They have an excellent training program which continues to be updated throughout your employment.

    Cons

Very little flexibility in punching the clock. If you are late 3 times, you are fired.

    Advice to Management

Have more flexibility in punching the clock. You would greatly reduce your turnover in employees.

    Pros

You can learn how to do ANYTHING there! Gaining experience with the company in order to move up the ladder in the company is easy. They tend to hire from within for higher level positions.

    Cons

I heard most new employees complain about getting too few hours when they started out. There was a pretty high turnover rate but my experience was awesome!

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is good and the benefits are very good. You get discounts on tons of every day things like cell phone bills!

    Cons

Getting full-time status is really difficult. Additionally, they time EVERYTHING. Seems a bit neurotic to me, or even OCD-ish. But the biggest problem I have is the turn-out; people tend to leave by the bus load. If you can keep moving, this is great job, be it on the floor or in receiving.

part time associates get benefits, vacation, and sick time.
profit sharing checks are given out at a bowling ally with dinner and bowling paid for by company and you are on the clock.

how can this get any better?

    Cons

    could use some more money.
