    Advice to Management

Ensure your regional, district, store mamagers are Genuine : "care for each other "by listening to employee issues. Be advocates/ coaches for associates. There are many good and excellent associates who value integrity and are smart working. When you genuinely put your people first your profits are maximized without much effort.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Starts of at $10. Flexible hours for part timers . Now offering set shifts for full time associates. Hard workers will be praised.

    Cons

If u are a good worker u will be held to a higher standard than others. The medical sucks for full timers. The raises are not based of performance as u will be told. No one gets set schedules. Shifts are set tho.

    Advice to Management

Better raises. The ability to truly hold someone accountable is long and tedious due to the Acg.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people, not the same day-to-day, lots of work to keep you busy, can foster an entrepreneurial mindset, while limited, opportunities arise to do things differently, unique business model.

    Cons

Hours and availability can be overly exaggerated issue, leadership lacks alignment, consistent breakdowns in communication, leadership slow to resolve conflicts, can be the personification of social darwinism.

    Advice to Management

Work with associates when it comes to availability- they have a life outside of work; get aligned and emphasize all aspects of our values not just one or whatever is convenient; work together as a team to measure your success by how many people you brought together to accomplish a goal rather than solely what tasks you completed; structure is a good thing- it creates a standard by which a proper evaluation takes place; let your yes be yes and your no be no- it will spare you from a lot of stress; continue to invest and empower stores and associates to modernize the way to work and serve our customers- why are supervisors carrying around notepads in departments when they can be using iPads, windows notepads and Android notepads?! This is 2017, not the 1970's or 80's; give the stores more authority as to what and how to set up different layouts- the community of every store is different so universalizing everything doesn't work; be real with expectations- so many factors impact the business which are out of your control. You're in the black as a company and as Home Depot has demonstrated that if you take care of people, the rest will take care of itself.
