I worked at The Home Depot full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

At a district level, paid well, good benefits, good bonus structure. Great associates excluding the Regional team.

    Cons

Little support from Regional team. They have a gotcha mentality. They don't support and generally beat up the district team.calls are. Low hourly pay for associate, very few full time hourly positions.

    Advice to Management

Corporate folks should listen in on the Regional calls! They might be surprised at how demotivating and uninspiring those calls are.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Top rated health benefits, stock options of 15% off, profit sharing bonus, corporate partner discounts with other companies, matching 401k

    Cons

Internal politics of company has change with new CEO over last 2 years. Pulling away from old philosophy of hiring mature, well trained tenured associates and paying a living wage, to now just hiring for bodies and turn over is on the rise at an alarming. In some major cites as high at 300%.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at The Home Depot full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

The Associate Pay scale is good and the Benefits are good. I liked the hours and the way management handled customer complaints. They aalso backed up their Associates if they weren't in the wrong.

    Cons

I would have to mention the Customers behavior's were sometimes inappropriate. The times they scheduled Store Meetings and their training procedures to me wasn't as informative as it should of been in the Specialty Departments.

    Advice to Management

More training in Specialty Departments. Our customers deserve that.
