I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have a great work environment, and my co-workers are great. I have a lot of control over my schedule, except for when I don't get scheduled/

    Cons

The way the scheduling is structured it's substantially more difficult to make the transition from part-time to full-time. You have waaayyyyy more control over your schedule as a part-time employee than a full-time employee for basically the same hourly rate. There is no overtime and raises aren't that good.

    Advice to Management

Better compensation, having more people on hand to ease the burden on everyone.

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    It's a job in a bad Economy

    Cons

Low pay for a lot of work. Wants you to either lift heavy items for 8 hours or sell 5k a week in specialty departments.

    Advice to Management

Your company would run smoothly oof you treat your people with respect and pay them a decent wage.

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

helping people. Other associates in my department make it bearable. co workers in your department are willing to help.

    Cons

management is very lazy, they treat you like a unwanted child, belittle you, talk down to you and if you need their help your better off hitting the lottery. They make your schedule 5 to 2 without you consent and when you tell the asds to not schedule like that its done anyway. alot of favoritism, and alot of micromanaging. Has to be the worse job I've had. People are quitting left and right because of pay, and asms. You cant tranfer, because the asms and asds wont help you. No room to grow. hours are being cut often.
