I worked at The Home Depot

    Pros

Some of best reasons to work at Home Depot is having the opportunity to growing with the company and aiding customers one on one as well as meeting their needs. Everyone there is kind and so friendly, we all help one another; it was a privilege to have experienced it for myself.

    Cons

They only down sides to working in Home Depot is simply the opportunity for full time positions. I feel if I had the opportunity to work in a full time position I could have stayed for a longer period of time.

I have been working at The Home Depot

    Pros

Very flexible with your hours of you're a part timer, but not so much if you are a full-timer.

    Cons

Would have you too much tasking on the job during the busiest time of the day instead of helping customers.

I have been working at The Home Depot

    Pros

Anyone who works in retail knows how hard it is. At the home depot, it is very much like any other retail but somehow better. You get to HELP people. when a guy comes in and has no idea how to fix something, it's really satisfying to know you can help some one who really needs help. Customers are getting better at taking a womans advice on home projects. I've even had women ask if I really know what I'm talking about....

    Cons

The Home Depot was started by expert tradesmen who were retired and willing to help. They also brought with them a "mightier then thou" attitude. It's really hard to listen to someone who acts like you're bothering them. If anything else, this is what I see to be the worst thing. The oldtimers are stuck in that frame of mind and it hurts customer service. They won't do anything above and beyond because...they don't...

    Advice to Management

Get rid of some of the old timers that have the bad additudes. (They are all not bad but you guys know who they are). I can't tell you how many times I've come in as a customer to get help and they ask me "who's helping you"......duh.....I really can do it without help from .....a man!!!! They are getting better but they have to get rid of some dead weight.
