I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are as busy as you want to be so you always have something to do.

    Cons

Most of the time you are spread thin with employees so you have to do a lot more than normal.

    Advice to Management

    Help fill holes in scheduling

I worked at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great, friendly employees - Mostly helpful management - Loved my co-workers and my supervisor was one of the best supervisors I've ever had - Head cashiers were amazing at what they did and were always willing to help - Store manager was great at what she did and knew how to handle store, customer, and employee issues well

    Cons

Misdirection about room for movement. I asked constantly for 11 months to be moved to another department and was not even considered for movement, while other employees were moved immediately after expressing a passive interest. - One of the Assistant Store Managers seemingly had no respect for any of the employees whatsoever and treated them as such. A majority of the employees complained to management, but nothing was done to curb this behavior

    Advice to Management

It would be great if there was a more consistent effort to treat employees with respect and try to be more sensitive to personal problems.
