    Learning about home improvement techniques, also being able to help customers leave the store feeling good. The opportunity to grow within the company.

    Cons

    Amount of helpful associates that are willing to go out of their way to make sure operations run smoothly day to day.

    Advice to Management

    Look for characteristics in the interviews people with a willingness to learn

    Pros

    Great co-workers, decent managers, provide workers with good training classes. Decent benefits.

    Cons

    Low pay, appreciate your hard work with a pat on the back, but not with any more money.

    Advice to Management

    Bring back the merit badges that rewarded the hard workers with some cash. It really worked. Also reward employees with special skills ( like operating forklifts ) a littlle more money then employees who don't pocess those skills. It is really unfair.

    Career Potential

    Shelves NOT ALWAYS being (properly) STOCKED.
    Not being Afforded (Provided) the opportunity to be there Full Time.

    Advice to Management

    Re-Stocking (of SHELVES) should ALWAYS be CONSTANT, likely AFTER store hours so ASSOCIATES on next business day can be more readily available for (incoming) customers.
