I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Consistent work schedule.
    Standard pay.
Can be fun with a good team.

    Cons

It's labor, if you can't lift a heavy box - fast. Why are you here?
Freight team is often forgotten when the others get food and cake and misc celebrations lol.
Corporate has some goals that don't seem realistic or are being implemented badly. It's a big box store though so some disconnect is expected.

I worked at The Home Depot full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy, Great Training, Awesome Customers, A Good Starting Place to Begin a Career

    Cons

Upper Management doesn't have good control over lower management, lower management doesn't value high performance, lower management undermines upper management's direction regarding employees.

    Advice to Management

Be more in tune with your entry-level employees, lower management and customers. If you see a high performing employee, don't give your lower level managers the opportunity to reduce performance of the good employees through write-ups when there is evidence in the records that average to above average performance is being achieved.
