I worked at The Home Depot part-time for less than a year

    Pros

For as little job experience as I had, at only 18 years old I was making 9.50/hr, the give out the schedule 2 weeks ahead of time so there's no surprises and they're really good about giving you days off that you request as long as you request them at least 2 weeks ahead.

    Cons

No benefits, position was temporary, really strict about attendance including tardiness, no sympathy for if you're sick/car problems etc. Also there are hours and hours of computer training to be done. If you haven't been there for 90 days or more you don't receive time and a half for working holidays.

    Advice to Management

Please take the time out to think about your employees and how working 5-8 days in a row can be a lot especially if they are only part time !
