I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to meet some incredible people. Some of the managers and coworkers are great. They do special things for the employees especially during holidays like have food, chili cook offs and they do community service.

    Cons

The salary is terrible, the shifts can make life/work balance challenging. Don't have solid training procedures. Lots of low morale though there are some employees who truly seem to like working there. Some cliques which can make working here uncomfortable. It has not been a good fit for me.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your supervisors are actually supervising and working, not using their "title" to just hang out talking to their friends. Salary truly needs improvement especially if you are expecting your employees to provide the quality customer service that customers deserve.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They try to work around your schedule. Has a pretty good attendance policy. They try to accommodate you.

    Cons

Pay...is not the best. People can be hired in after you and will make more money especially if you have been there for seven years.

    Advice to Management

Better pay for employees that are trust worthy and reliable. Not just to new associates.

    Pros

    Great employee stock purchase option

A culture that talks a good game about great customer service but a reality in which the promise THD about great customer service is belied by very lean staff levels
