    Pros

    Very knowledgeable supervisor
    Great support team
Great place to learn to things

    Cons

A lot of favoritism I’m currently working here for 6 months and the new guy has been here for 2 months
I put in a lot of effort while he’s on his phone all day and they promoted him to full time even while I asked for full time

    Advice to Management

Don’t play favorites, actually look at your employees who work and who doesn’t.. otherwise it’s a good place to work

I worked at The Home Depot full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The ability to grow your career and advance in the company, the access to a great diverse benefits package, developing and learning new skills, the profit sharing bonuses and access to employee stock purchases. The stability of working for a successful industry leader and seeing the changes its making to cope with the future of the business.

    Cons

Hours are long and constantly changing schedules makes work life balance a challenge. fixed schedules only apply to full time hourly not part time, management or salaried associates. Roles are expanded beyond specific job at short notice, expect to have to do everything and cover multiple areas of the business. Accountability is difficult to enforce at all levels expect to see standards applied for one individual but not another.

    Advice to Management

Leaders not managers is what the company is looking for if you lack the first it will be a challenge to succeed.

I worked at The Home Depot full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

when i started they hired full-time right off the bat but have since only started hiring part-time and if you want full-time you're gonna have to work like crazy and go above what they ask and need.

    Cons

like all retail stores, management can either create a nurturing environment and invest in their associates or they can be the poison apple in the bunch. I've worked with weak management and strong management. and more recently the management has left a very sour taste in my mouth. more concerned with twitter and ice bucket challenges then actually bettering and cultivating their associates .

    Advice to Management

Be open minded to the work people do for the good of the company and the store. Just because an associate isnt your best friend, does not make them a bad associate.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of nice people to meet that cannot afford what we offer.

    Cons

No mileage, no base pay, unqualified leads. When a sale is made any mistakes in pricing or unseen things come out of your check. Management wants you to go to stores to generate leads while there are already hourly employees at the store who's job it is to get these leads. I've been crushed on price every time a customer shops me.

    Advice to Management

Try to mention during all the comercials they pay for that we do kitchen refacing.
