I worked at The Home Depot full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Customers on a budget will many times need out of the box thinking. While many employees don't have this ability, those that do will find HD a rewarding company to work for.
Relatively normal business hours for most employees. (8 hour shifts)
    Helpful management and staff.

    Cons

Customers can sometimes be arrogant, and occasionally you may stay a bit past your scheduled work times.
    No discounts on merchandise.
Not really a whole lot of negatives though.

    Advice to Management

Give discounts to employees, like a few other large home improvement stores.
