I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Gained knowledge of products for home improvement, and business acumen

    Cons

Scheduling is not consistent for supervisors. Hourly rate is defined by an average versus merit and experience.

    Advice to Management

Look at the people who are working on the floor doing their job, instead of only looking at the ones who spend their time in the office around management.

    Pros

Overall the management is rather pleasant. They help you with all your needs and cooperate with you. I'm not a home depot employee but I'm a vendor at the Hillman Group and we cooperate perfectly. They help me with my ordering for merchandise at the store.

    Cons

Of course its always one manager you will encounter that is a pain.
