I worked at The Home Depot (More than a year)

    Pros

Took rental was an awesome place to work. You get to learn a bunch of different things and basically do whatever you want. They also hire management positions from within.

    Cons

The pay sucks. They never give full time. Which means no benefits.

    Advice to Management

Offer full time to more employees.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great hours, some good people to work with

    Cons

Pay is horrible,,raises are non existence,,horrible management,,,no incentives,,moral crusher,,corporate management unaware as well as don't care about the associates that work there hearts out only to be told your still not doing enough

    Advice to Management

We all work because we need money;that's a given;but the average worker not only has to work but take on a lot of emotional wreckage from the customers we serve plus deal with being grossly under paid in which we have to get another job on top of working this one ; it all starts with respect;you respect us with job security and money to help our families and in return we provide loyalty and trust with your company instead of working to find another job that pays more;;your turn over rate for employees has to be high

I have been working at The Home Depot (Less than a year)

    Pros

A lot of opportunities for upward mobility.

    Cons

Very promising, but takes long to move if you do not have time.

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great managers and associates to work for and with; believe in training each associate so that they may reach their full potential; and it is easy to advance in this company.

    Cons

The pay could be a little better, but for a retail position it's not entirely bad.
