I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone that works there is very helpful and will teach you the skills that you need to do your job.

    Cons

Very hard to move to another department as well as getting full-time if you really need it. Very hard to get any training done when not scheduled for it specifically.

    Advice to Management

Make it easier for associates to transfer to another department, get full-time in the department they are in, and schedule days to get training done before it gets over due.

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Keeps you active and barring the rare difficult coworker, is an easy job. Depending on the store, relitavely little micromanagement if you are a self starter.

    Cons

Full time workers tend to have allot more stress, mostly due to being overworked in their department. Hirings may be in a lul as the pay is horrible to start, the raises are not good at all.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps notice who does nothing but stand around while others do most of the manual work and complete tasks. Focus on the raises of those who work extra hard without being told what to do. Also, raise the pay to a living wage.
