I worked at The Home Depot part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Home Depot is such a flexible place of employment whether you're looking to work full-time or like in my case, a college student looking for a part-time job. The pay is very competitive and the people you work alongside of are great. Believe it or not I had some of my best days working at the Depot.

    Cons

It takes a while to move up the ranks but it is possible.

    Pros

Felixible hours. Good people to work with, opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

Corporate ran. Disconnect between corporate agendas and every day running of operations.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the needs of your individual store and concerns from employees more and the needs of the district and corporate offices will be easier to meet.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great with benefits, even for part-timers.
    Great sense of camraderie.
They put the associates ahead of the bottom line.

    Cons

As in any retail environment, you have to deal with some unpleasant customers.
Only allowed to request time off 90 days in advance.

    Advice to Management

For the most part keep doing what you're doing. Only reason I didn't give five stars is because nobody is perfect.
