    Pros

Very nice customers and nice HR Dept.

    Cons

Unable to move up the ranks when your doing a great job. Their reviews always say your doing great but we like you just where you are. Not able to get training that would let you progress up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Really need to talk with associates before they leave your employment or feel that there is no other way to handle the issues they are having.

    Pros

Steady reliable Retail work. All and All a good company to work for. Lots of possible opportunities.

    Cons

Working for people who are not people people. Our own employees can be difficult if they haven't learned good communication skills yet.

The more we are on the floor the better we are at knowing what our associates are dealing with so we can teach them how to drive sales.

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, decent benefits, they give you a lot of chances, decent opportunity for growth inside the company. Staff is generally friendly.

    Cons

Pay feels very lacking compared to other companies including lowes, Job is very repetitive and your movement is often lateral if you want a change.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to make sure your employees are happy who will then treat the customers well when you focus on the customers and neglect the staff you undo all your hard work.
