    Pros

For an entry level position, they are pretty well. The benefits are decent. Get a small bonus if the store hits goal

    Cons

Very difficult to move up in the company. They do not train and develop employees unless you are one of their "favorites" A lot of turn around

    Advice to Management

Train and develop your employees. Promote from within

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a fast paced environment. You are taught everything you need to know about your job and are encouraged to keep yourself busy. If you put 100% into your job Home Depot will give you 100% back. There are plenty of benefits from medical to dental and vision plus a 15% discount on stocks up to 20% of your pay. There is also a very good 401k plan. There are associate discounts when you purchase online through the employee log in. Not just Home Depot but drugstore.com games stop and many other companies. Plus you earn points to use to make purchases later. After 5000 points you earn 50% more points for all purchases and it is easy to accumulate 5000 points. If the store qualifies for a bonus associates earn bonuses. You can also earn homer badges which you get bonuses after getting 3 then 6 etc...

    Cons

You will need to be flexible with your hours. Earning paid vacation takes 1 year for 1 week. Each year after it takes time to build it up

    Advice to Management

You might want to be a little flexible to accommodate those with children. I've seen a few associates that were decent workers only get discouraged because they needed to take care of their children but was scheduled and couldn't get to work until late
