I have been working at The Home Depot full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Admin staff has really good communication. They try to make sure you have everything you need to do your job well

    Cons

Hard to get higher management to change their minds on something. Can be intimidating when you first start, but your team will be helpful.

    Pros

Very organized internship program with lots of opportunities to interface with senior leadership and your fellow interns.

    Cons

If you get put on a bad project, you won't have a good experience. It's the luck of the draw.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great value system, promotion from within, and constant training.

    Cons

The company will certainly get as much as possible out of you at the least possible compensation because, as is with Apple, it's the Home Depot.

    Advice to Management

Pay fair wages, improve benefits package for salary managers, improve communication systems.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at The Home Depot for more than 8 years

    Pros

Pay is comparable to what you would find in other Marketing contract positions.

    Cons

The culture at THD is not conducive to work-life balance. There is little to no direction, not set processes in place and no training available. Leadership is very disengaged with those executing the work.

    Advice to Management

Take more time to have a clear understanding of the various processes (or lack there of) in place before insisting on certain executions.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A way to get your foot in the door at a corporate position. Will learn a lot about marketing budgets.

    Cons

No room to grow in the marketing department. Most Coordinators leave marketing and never get to come back which is not good for people trying to really stay within marketing.

    Advice to Management

Get off of your high horse and really embrace marketing.
