I have been working at The Honeybaked Ham co. part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

HoneyBaked is a great place to work. It is a fun holiday job, and theres always a lot of hours to take up on.

    Cons

Although honeybaked is fun to work at it can get hectic. You would not want to work here if customer service is not a strong suit of yours.

    Advice to Management

Great place, fun people, not too stressful during the holidays.

I worked at The Honeybaked Ham co. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, good working hours non-holiday, hours non-holiday.

    Cons

Holiday hours are extremely long, pay is getting lower, getting seasonal associates on board and trained in such a short time can be a hard task. Employees like to try and steal.

    Advice to Management

Go with your gut on hiring decisions. Pace yourself t the holiday and take advantage of the early planning.

    Pros

    Above minimum wage pay
Learned valuable stocking inventory and cash handling skills

    Cons

    Management is poor
You work harder than the salary is worth
    No sanctioned breaks

    Advice to Management

I had a terrible manager who harassed and bullied me to the point of deep depression. One day I couldn't handle it anymore and stopped showing up. There needs to be more chances for advancement. The salary should match the work done. If someone is working to fill multiple jobs they should be paid accordingly

I worked at The Honeybaked Ham co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There Was No Drama Between Staff, Everyone Works Together Well in the Small Enviroment and Workspace, Lastly they provided Consistent Scheduling which takes the surprise out of when your next shift was to be.

    Cons

Had to become "friends" with management just to become full time and gain enough hours to make employment "worth-it". Easy to do in such a small community, but tedious nonetheless.

    Advice to Management

Please be more mindful of the lives and going-on's of your employees and in turn they will show greater desires to perform well for you.

I worked at The Honeybaked Ham co. (More than a year)

    Pros

Great product and brand. Good customer base and good hours (close at 6p non-holiday). Lots of autonomy to build sales, especially during the non-holiday season.

    Cons

No life during the holidays. you go from 5 employees to 55 employees for a stretch of about one week before each holiday, which means a stretch of at least 2-3 weeks before each holiday is nothing but work 7 days a week, and the store is open longer then. too.

    Advice to Management

Understand that the business IS the holidays.

I have been working at The Honeybaked Ham co. part-time

    Pros

They give you free ham sometimes.

    Cons

They are an unorganized and racist company. They pay their employees in this order black men get paid the min, then black women, white women, and of course white men get paid the most. They never had a valid reason for doing this, it was flat out illegal! They love to play favorites and pretend like they work.

    Advice to Management

Stop being racist, learn to be consistent, and get off of Facebook
