I worked at The Jacobson Group for less than a year

    Pros

Ability to work from home as a temp employee with some positions Great pay (depending on the client) $14-18 hourly Can use your own equipment You get paid weekly as a temp

    Cons

Not knowing when your assignments will end. Little to zero short notice of when your contract is up. Not receiving reassignment once your contract has ended, regardless of what they say. No paid time off or sick days depending on the client. No health benefits. The benefits that they offer is a discount plan, it is not real health insurance! They gave zero notice to my entire team that our contract was...

    Advice to Management

Clean house of your unprofessional staff and recruiters. Takedown positions after they have been filled so that people won't be misled into thinking that they may have an opportunity for a job and that their application is being looked at. Provide adequate notice to your contract workers of when their assignments are coming to an end or when the client has decided not to renew the contracts.

I worked at The Jacobson Group

    Pros

Smooth training process. Also the office staff is supportive of each other among all roles/levels.

    Cons

At the time, admin management was easily flustered. When there was stress/conflicts it was apparent and affected team morale a bit.

I have been working at The Jacobson Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Positive company culture - Since the company is smaller there are more opportunities to take on projects and initiatives - Management is constantly looking to improve - Work at home flexibility - Flexible dress code (can wear jeans during the week)

    Cons

    - Smaller company which means less growth opportunities - Benefits structure is just okay, but its something they are actively improving each year.

I worked at The Jacobson Group for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work from home is nice. Flexibility is also a plus

    Cons

It’s like Highschool. You can be the best worker there is and if one of their ‘people’ doesn’t like you, they won’t offer you a project. People that are way less qualified than you are telling you want to do.

    Advice to Management

Use facts and not emotions when making decisions. Try not to run all of the good ones out.

I have been working at The Jacobson Group full-time

    Pros

The company has been going through significant changes, which are all very positive. The CEOs finally accepted their responsibility for setting the tone for the organization, acknowledged their needed areas of improvement, and are actively doing something about it. It has been impressive to see them loosen their grip on the reigns and empower others to step up, which has lead to more creativity and business growth than...

    Cons

While benefits are competitive for the size of the organization, they are not as rich as what can be offered by a larger company. Also, they switched to Aetna a couple of years back for their health insurance provider, which was super disappointing. It may have kept costs consistent, but their provider network is seriously lacking compared to previous providers.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on empowering employees - it has proven to be great for the business, so let staff show you what they can do!

I have been working at The Jacobson Group full-time

    Pros

Recently the organization has taken a good look inward and has made strides to have the management team open their eyes to areas of improvement for their employees. The work environment has become more fun and flexible. Keep up the good work.

    Cons

Sometimes management does not take a stop back to look at the bigger picture to pinpoint the root causes of issues and bottlenecks.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the positive attitude and humility.

I have been working at The Jacobson Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a consistent and guaranteed paycheck.

    Cons

Well for one, all staff was pretty much mandated to go on Glassdoor and give a positive review to offset any negative reviews given.

    Advice to Management

Maybe value your employees, and you wouldn't have to request that your current employees make false positive reviews on your behalf.
